Saniona’s CFO Jason Amello recently linked up to the BioStock Studio at Medicon Village in Lund from Boston for an interview. The industry veteran has served as Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Akebia Therapeutics Inc., where he was a key advisor for Akebia’s merger with Keryx Biopharmaceuticals. Amello has held senior positions at Ziopharm Oncology, Inc., Genzyme Corporation – now Sanofi Genzyme – and currently also serves on the Board of Directors of Acer Therapeutics, Inc. In this interview he talks about his background, his current work at Saniona and his visions for the company moving forward.
