Mentice has received two orders worth a combined USD 2.4 million from one of the world’s 20 largest medical technology companies. The customer, described as a long-standing and valued client, continues to rely on Mentice’s simulation technologies for clinical training in interventional cardiology, with a focus on structural heart disease.

The announcement follows a first quarter in which Mentice reported order intake of SEK 59.0 million, an organic increase of just over 50 per cent year-on-year. In the interim report, CEO Frans Venker described the summer as a period packed with industry conferences and congresses, important for positioning the company and showcasing its solutions.

– These major orders from a long-term innovative customer underscore the strength of our customer relationships and the trust leading medical technology companies place in Mentice, says Venker, commenting in a press release on today’s orders.

According to Venker, the orders also extend the company’s offering into augmented reality, through a complete solution combining haptic feedback with contextual three-dimensional training.

The orders will be recognised within the Medical Device Industry business area over the coming quarters and, according to the company, strengthen Mentice’s position within the interventional cardiology training ecosystem.
