Abarceo Pharma
Abarceo Pharma is a spin-out of Lund University Diabetes Center founded in 2017 by Prof. Claes Wollheim, MD, and Associate Prof. Albert Salehi world-renowned scientists in diabetes research and beta-cell biology. Abarceo Pharma has identified a novel diabetes target VDAC1 located on beta cells and a novel mechanism of action enabling a therapeutic treatment to revert beta cells from dysfunctional to functional, preserving beta cell function and allowing patients to produce their insulin again, naturally. The company founders were the first to describe that voltage-dependent anion channel 1 (VDAC1) is dysfunctional and presents a novel target in Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). VDAC1 is a key mitochondrial protein regulating the energy production in cells and has been implicated in multiple diseases with underlying mitochondrial dysfunction including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular disease (CVD). These diseases are closely related to T2D and are often referred to as comorbidities.
Abarceo Pharma is developing a small molecule technology platform for the treatment of mitochondrial dysfunction, with an initial focus on T2D.
Amplio Pharma
- CEO: Marguerite Mensonides
- Chairman of the board: Rob Mayfield
Amplio Pharma is a rare opportunity to invest in a de-risked, patent-protected asset with the potential to redefine first-line rheumatoid arthritis treatment. NovoBioJect builds on methotrexate, the established global standard, and has already generated human biomarker data supporting superior efficacy. Rather than competing in crowded biologics markets, it aims to replace the current first-line therapy, creating access to a multi-billion-dollar market opportunity. With Phase IIa ahead, €10 million of Series A financing, and a defined acquisition pathway by major immunology players, Amplio offers investors a realistic near-term exit opportunity and the potential for outsized returns.

The company is listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market and is developing several drug candidates in parallel based on three research platforms: NeuroRestore®, Alzstatin® and Painless. AlzeCure has recently signed collaboration and outlicensing agreements with Eli Lilly on the Alzstatin platform, and with QuantumCell ApS on the NeuroRestore platform.
Biovica
- CEO: Theis Kipling
- Chairman of the board: Jeff Borcherding
Biovica develops DiviTum® TKa, a blood-based biomarker test that tells oncologists within weeks, not months, whether a metastatic breast cancer treatment is working. Instead of waiting ~12 weeks for the first imaging scan, a simple blood draw gives an early signal of treatment response, enabling faster course-correction for patients and supporting smarter dosing and patient stratification for pharma partners. Our promise: replace a long, uncertain wait with an early, actionable answer, so fewer patients stay on treatments that aren’t working, and more decisions get made when they still matter most.
Biomedical Bonding
- CEO: Michael Malkoch
- Chairman of the board: Michael Malkoch
Every second, more than five people somewhere in the world break a bone. Most of us will break at least two in a lifetime. Fracture is not a niche indication. It is one of the few medical events almost every human being will experience.Yet the repair has barely changed in seventy years. A rigid metal plate is manufactured long before the injury exists, chosen from a catalogue of sizes and bent by hand to approximate a bone it was never made for. The compromise is sharpest where the need is greatest. In osteoporotic bone, screws lose their purchase, and a plate many times stiffer than the bone it supports shields that bone from load and concentrates stress at its ends, where the next fracture begins.
Biomedical Bonding AB is a Swedish MedTech company founded to remove that compromise. Bonevolent®, a patented light-cured composite platform spun out of KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and grounded in more than a decade of research and peer-reviewed biomechanical evidence, allows the surgeon to build a load-bearing fixator directly on the bone and cure it on demand. The implant is shaped to the fracture rather than the fracture to the implant, and it cures to a stiffness close to bone itself. The human skeleton has 206 bones, and almost every one of them can break in a way that a fixator shaped in theatre fits better than anything made in advance. That is the scale BMB is building towards: veterinary market entry in 2027, the first human fracture fixed in 2028, followed by market launch in 2030.

redhot Diagnostics
- CEO: Nina E Beer
- Chairman of the board: Johan Ryden
redhot Diagnostics commercializes standardized kits for LC-MS/MS, the gold-standard method in clinical chemistry. Most laboratories still run these tests on in-house protocols, so results vary from one laboratory to the next, and IVDR is steadily closing that route. redhot replaces the protocols with validated, CE-marked kits. The lead product measures PEth, a substance formed only in the presence of alcohol, giving it 100 percent biochemical specificity and a detection window of several weeks. It is used in addiction medicine, liver and transplant clinics, and clinical trials. The kit is on the market today, generating recurring revenue at gross margins above 90 percent with almost no commercial effort behind it.Kits for drug monitoring and vitamin B12 deficiency are in development, alongside rhelise™, a patented home-sampling kit that keeps a blood sample stable for more than two weeks at room temperature. A further application filed in 2026 covers improved calibrators and controls.redhot diagnostics is raising capital to expand European and US distribution and build a multi-marker LC-MS/MS platform.
