Q&A med vd Jeppe Øvlesen

The Board currently holds a mandate to execute share buybacks. How do you view the potential utilisation of this mandate in 2026, and what would be the primary purpose of such actions?

– We believe strongly in the value of our clinical development programs, and we believe the timing is right to initiate the buy-back program as one of the initiatives we are doing to have flexibility of our capital structure. We need flexibility to pursue the best possible paths to create value for resomelagon in both RA and viral infections.

Late last year, both management and the board entered into lock-up agreements extending through the first half of 2026. What was the strategic reasoning behind locking your shares during this specific period?

– We are in a very interesting period. Our lead program in Rheumatoid Arthritis is close to full recruitment, and we are very eager to announce further on the progress and subsequently the results when we have them. The Phase 2b data is highly anticipated as it will be a key catalyst for business development discussions. We are very happy that all members of the Board and our key executive management team with the lock-up fully stand behind the program and personal commitments to the outcomes of the data.

Beyond the clinical milestones, you are also in the process of shaping the organisation for the next phase. Could you provide an update on the recruitment of a new CFO?

– We have signed a very competent and experienced CFO with transactional experience in the biotech space. With the CFO in place we have a strong management team to execute well on the opportunities that we believe lies ahead for resomelagon.

With the ADVANCE study being a major priority, what are the most critical milestones investors should look out for during the first six months of 2026?

– We have several short-term milestones from our clinical programs to look forward to.
Last patient recruited in the Phase 2b ADVANCE study is a major one for the RA program. Also, first patient recruited in the Dengue study and in the PMR study will be advancing the pipeline in the right direction and will add on to building good momentum for resomelagon. We are looking to enhance the understanding of the effect of resomelagon in viral infections – we will likely be able to talk more about this in the coming 6 months. We are planning a Capital Markets Day in Q1 2026 where we will walk through the programs and the value opportunities for each program. A specific date and venue to be releases in the coming time.

CEO Jeppe Øvlesen and CBO Mads Bjerregaard visited the BioStock studio on December 22 to discuss the progression of the pipeline. A central topic was the ADVANCE study in RA, where they highlighted that the company is fast approaching results, noting that more than 220 patients had been recruited with an additional 15 in screening at the time of the interview.

Watch the interview here where they highlight the key milestones and opportunities anticipated to characterise 2026.
